Working principle of laser edge banding machine
1. Laser activation
The laser edge banding machine irradiates the photosensitive coating on the back of the edge banding tape with a laser beam, so that the photosensitive coating melts rapidly.
The photosensitive coating will undergo a chemical reaction under the action of laser, changing from solid to liquid, thus activating the viscosity of the edge banding tape.
2. Accurate pre-milling
The pre-milling device of the equipment will accurately mill the edge of the plate to remove burrs and uneven parts on the edge of the plate.
This step can increase the contact area between the edge of the plate and the edge banding tape and improve the edge banding quality.
3. Bonding and pressing
After laser activation, the edge banding tape is closely attached to the edge of the plate, and the photosensitive coating of the edge banding tape is fully integrated with the edge of the plate under the action of pressure.
This kind of fusion is a combination at the molecular level, which ensures the firmness and tightness of edge sealing.
4. Cooling and curing
After the edge sealing is completed, the edge sealing tape and the edge of the plate are rapidly solidified under the action of the cooling system.
The cooling process can make the combination of the edge banding tape and the edge of the plate more stable, and form a firm edge banding effect.
5. Dressing and polishing
The laser edge banding machine is equipped with trimming and polishing devices, which will trim and polish the edge of the edge-banded plate.
Trimming can remove redundant edge sealing materials and make the edge sealing neat and beautiful; Polishing can make the edge sealing surface smooth and improve the appearance quality of the product.
